The University of Miami has one of the leading athletic programs in the country. Our winning teams bring excitement, pride, and national recognition to the greater Miami community. The Sprint for Hurricane Athletics is a new fundraising campaign that has set the bar at $70 million over the next three years. Among the goals of the three-year Sprint campaign is:

• a new 50,000-square-foot Academic Center for student-athletes that will house a computer laboratory and private study and tutor areas;

• a renovated training room and medical facility that will provide more space for treatment and rehabilitation of student-athletes, private exam rooms, rehab pools, and staff offices;

• funds to complete the renovation of Alex Rodriguez Park at Mark Light Field;

• a renovation project of the Neil Schiff Tennis Center that will include new lights, locker rooms, and coaches’ offices;

• a new 10,000-square-foot basketball practice facility for the men’s and women’s basketball programs;

• additional bleacher seating, a new press box, and resurfaced track for Cobb Stadium, which is home to the women’s soccer team and men’s and women’s track and field teams;

• and a new 2,000-square-foot, multipurpose football equipment facility that will serve as the primary storage space for all football field and travel equipment, as well as provide additional storage for all varsity sports.
