Dawnn Winge.
Meet Dawnn Winge, a second-year Biology major in the College of Arts and Sciences. In addition to her studies, Dawnn works part-time at the University and is involved in community service projects. With the support of a scholarship, she is receiving a first-rate education. As Dawnn says, "If it wasn't for the scholarship, and the donors who made it possible, I wouldn't be able to attend UM." Dawnn's ultimate goal is to go on to medical school - possibly at the University of Miami - and become a radiologist.

Dawnn knows first-hand the importance of scholarships. They allow the University to attract and retain the very best students. As government support decreases and tuition increases, competitive financial aid packages allow us to compete with the nation's foremost universities for outstanding young men and women.`

In fact, over 75 percent of all students receive some form of financial assistance. Without this support, the University would lose a number of highly qualified students each year.

Scholarships have been crucial to the University's growing reputation as a leading intellectual center. By making a scholarship gift, you will have a hand in preparing the leaders of tomorrow while ensuring the future vitality of the University of Miami.
