The deadline to apply for May 2008 graduation is Friday, March 7, 2008. Please register online at myum.miami.edu.

Cap and Gown Information
The deadline to order your cap and gown was Friday, March 7, 2008. Regalia is free for all graduating students. Regalia distribution for all graduates (except for Miller School of Medicine and School of Law) will be at the Toppel Career Center on the Coral Gables campus on Tuesday, May 6, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 7, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday, May 8, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Special Needs
The BankUnited Center is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Handicapped-accessible areas are reserved for guests with special needs. At the commencement ceremonies, handicapped-accessible parking will be available near the BankUnited Center entrance on Walsh Avenue in the Special Needs parking lot indicated on the map. Printed Programs
Commencement programs will be available at the entrance to the ceremony for guests and in the seating areas reserved for graduating students and participating faculty. The program, which will be individualized for each ceremony, lists the name, degree, and proper accolades for each graduate. It also contains biographical information on honorary degree recipients and speakers as well as a detailed sequence of events for each ceremony.

Photography/Videos
At the commencement ceremonies, professional photographers from Bob Knight Photography, will photograph all graduates as they walk across the stage. A complimentary copy will be mailed to graduates, along with instructions to order additional prints.

Personal photographs may be taken only before and after the ceremony. No one is permitted in the aisles during the ceremony. All graduates will have the opportunity to take photos in front of a banner with the University of Miami seal, located outside the BankUnited Center.

Prohibited Substances
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the BankUnited Center.

Firecrackers and explosives of any kind are prohibited.

Parking and Shuttles
Parking areas are conveniently located near the BankUnited Center on the Coral Gables campus. Please refer to the colorcoded parking map for the location of your assigned parking area. Shuttle service will run to and from the Ponce de Leon and Pavia parking garages and the BankUnited Center. There also will be shuttle service to the University Center and the Bookstore on Stanford Drive.

Please be aware that the City of Coral Gables police will strictly enforce off-campus parking regulations.
