To University of Miami students:

You have a chance to vote again this year.

This time it will be to help chart the future of the City of Coral Gables.

Next Tuesday, April 14th, the City of Coral Gables will hold a Special Municipal Referendum Election.

Those of you who are registered to vote in Coral Gables may cast ballots on five amendments to the city’s charter.

In addition, you can vote in the General Biennial Election that will determine two commission seats.

These are important issues, and the outcome affects your life here and the University.

Click here to find more information on these important ballot issues.

Click here for more information on the commission seat elections.

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and registered voters can cast their votes at their assigned precinct.

If you want more information on the elections and/or need to confirm your precinct location, please call the City Clerk’s Office at 305-460-5210, or you can click here for the Miami-Dade Elections Office precinct finder.

These elections will have a significant impact on our community, and I strongly encourage those of you who are eligible to vote to exercise your civic duty.

Remember every vote counts!
