PRESIDENT CLINTON SHARES HIS EXPANSIVE VISION AT SPRING CONVOCATION
Outlining many of the innovative solutions of his Clinton Global Initiative aimed at solving some of the world’s most pressing challenges, as well as the fresh approaches needed in the 21st century, President Bill Clinton addressed a standing-room-only audience at the BankUnited Center on March 1 as the distinguished guest of the University’s Spring Convocation. UM President Donna E. Shalala, who served as U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services in the Clinton administration, introduced her former boss to the thousands of students, faculty, staff, and invited guests who attended the event, in which President Clinton also answered questions submitted by University of Miami students.
