The University of Miami and Northern Trust are privileged to present renowned CNN anchor Anderson Cooper as our distinguished guest for the Northern Trust Lecture 2008 Senior Convocation. Cooper has won numerous awards, including several Emmys, for his reporting on events such as the tsunami in Southeast Asia, the Bosnian civil war, and the famine in Somalia. In 2007, Cooper produced and hosted Planet in Peril, a four-hour CNN documentary about environmental issues. His varied experiences and penetrating insights promise a lively, thought-provoking exploration of global affairs and contemporary media.
