New marine conservation program at UM fosters ocean science for future generations
The University of Miami has announced the creation of the R.J. Dunlap Marine Conservation Program, a joint initiative of the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science and the Leonard and Jayne Abess Center for Ecosystem Science and Policy that will focus on advancing ocean research through exciting hands-on field and virtual learning experiences for high school and university students. | more

Distinguished Speaker Series to feature IBM's Linda Sanford
Linda S. Sanford, senior vice president, Enterprise Transformation, leads the strategy for IBM’s internal transformation to a premier globally integrated enterprise. She is also a member of the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame and the National Academy of Engineering. Sanford will discuss “Building a Smarter Planet: Strategies for Meaningful Change” on Monday, January 25 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the School of Business Administration, Storer Auditorium, Jenkins Building. | more
