UM Ranks High on Peace Corps Top 25 List
With 23 undergraduate alumni serving as Peace Corps volunteers around the world, the University of Miami has been ranked No. 21 on the agency’s annual list of “Top Peace Corps Volunteer Producing Colleges and Universities.” The ranking comes as the Peace Corps celebrates 50 years of sending American volunteers abroad to live and work in developing countries while tackling challenges such as AIDS education, information technology, and environmental preservation. | more |

The University of Miami has announced the second dates for Employee Day Games presented by Verizon Wireless. Secure your seats now to see the men’s basketball team take on ACC opponent Clemson on Sunday, February 20 at 3:30 p.m. at BankUnited Center or the nationally ranked women’s team take on Wake Forest on Monday, February 21 at 7 p.m. in conjunction with Pink Zone. Ring Theatre to Spotlight Timeless Battle of the Sexes with Comedies ‘Big Love’ and ‘Lysistrata’
The age-old battle of the sexes comes to Coral Gables this February with two comedies at the University of Miami’s Jerry Herman Ring Theatre. Running in alternating performances from February 16-27, Lysistrata and Big Love are two boisterous comedies inspired by classic Greek theatre but spiced with enough contemporary flavors to tickle the taste buds of any audience.| more |
