The Latin American and Caribbean Center at Florida International University and the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Miami have launched the Miami Consortium, a joint initiative that will promote research and stimulate public awareness of all aspects of Latin America and the Caribbean as well as relations with the United States and countries outside the Western Hemisphere. | more

    Hurricanes Open 2011 College Football Season on Labor Day Night at Maryland
    For the fourth time since 2004, the Miami Hurricanes will open the college football season in a nationally televised game on Labor Day night. UM will face the Maryland Terrapins in an Atlantic Coast Conference matchup on September 5 in College Park, Maryland, marking the Hurricanes’ first game there since 2006.| more
