Eat Your Words at Second Annual Edible Books Festival
The University of Miami Libraries’ Special Collections division will host its second annual Edible Books Festival on Friday, April 1 from 12 to 2 p.m. in the Richter Library lobby. Prizes will be awarded in three categories, and after the winners are announced, participants and viewers will grab forks, spoons, and knives and “eat their words.” | more |

Leadership Recognition
About 220 University of Miami employees and their guests attended the 2010 United Way Campaign Leadership Reception, held March 8 at President Donna E. Shalala’s residence. The annual event recognizes employees who donated at least 1 percent of their salary to the United Way and also honors the many United Way ambassadors who helped spearhead UM’s successful campaign. Healthy ’Canes Employee Clinic to Open April 4; Grand Opening Event is April 26
The new Healthy 'Canes Employee Clinic, which opens Monday, April 4 on the Miller School of Medicine campus, will offer faculty and staff convenient access to UHealth medical services for common illnesses. The clinic, which will be staffed by nurse practitioners under the direction of UHealth physicians, will also help save employees money. | more
