X Factor Auditions at BankUnited Center April 6 and 7; Heavy Traffic Expected around Venue
Open auditions for The X Factor, the television talent show produced by Simon Cowell, will be taking place on Wednesday, April 6 and Thursday, April 7 at the BankUnited Center. It is anticipated that thousands of people will come out for the auditions. Heavy traffic in the vicinity of the BUC is expected on both days. | more

    Dave Barry Gets Serious
    Dave Barry is synonymous with the word humor. For several years he wrote a nationally syndicated humor column for The Miami Herald, winning the Pulitzer Prize for Commentary in 1988. On March 31, Barry brought his distinctive wit and personality to the University of Miami’s Coral Gables campus, presenting the lecture “Cheating Is No Laughing Matter” at the Storer Auditorium to kick off Academic Integrity Week. The event also helped celebrate the 25th anniversary of the UM Undergraduate Honor Council.
