The Agulhas Current, which runs along the east coast of Africa, may not be as well known as its counterpart (the Gulf Stream) in the Atlantic. However, researchers are now taking a closer look at this current and its “leakage” from the Indian Ocean into the Atlantic, finding that it may be a significant player in global climate variability. | more |

Working parents, businesses, and even first lady Michelle Obama celebrated the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day last Thursday.
