Lactation Rooms Aid UM’s Nursing Mothers
Dedicated rooms across the University are giving nursing mothers at UM the clean and private accommodations they need to express breast milk. On April 30, the University of Miami marked the opening of the rooms with a ribbon cutting-ceremony at Gables One Tower, where one of the nine rooms is located. TIAA-CREF will be hosting a workshop for University of Miami female employees interested in learning strategies for investing and saving. “She’s Got It: A Woman’s Guide to Saving and Investing” will include a discussion on core concepts that guide investing, a financial-personality quiz, and group activities that will help participants outline their financial goals and identify steps to reach them. | more
Flexible Summer Workweek Begins June 1
The University of Miami will again offer its annual Flexible Summer Workweek Program. This year the program has been extended by two weeks and will run from June 1 through August 9. During that time, Coral Gables and Rosenstiel School campus employees may work a modified schedule—the same number of hours each week over fewer days. | more
