Excavating Jurash
David Graf, a religious studies professor in the College of Arts and Sciences who is a specialist in the history and archaeology of the Greco-Roman Near East, led and supervised an excavation of Jurash in southwest Saudi Arabia, discovering evidence that has helped confirm the city’s importance as a trading post on the ancient pre-Islamic caravan trade route that extended from Yemen and ran north to the Mediterranean Sea. | more |
