    Speaking Up for Vets
    With only days left until he retires, Admiral Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke to a University of Miami audience on September 13, discussing veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan conflicts who are transitioning from military life and praising the "incredible strength" of family members who have relatives serving in the military. The admiral's community town hall talk, held at the UM Fieldhouse, also included a panel discussion with two Iraqi War veterans and the spouse of a soldier. Top: Admiral Mullen, the highest-ranking officer in the U.S. Armed Forces and the president's principal military advisor, answers a question from a member of the audience.     September is National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a perfect time to increase public understanding of the disease, its risk factors, screening and prevention, treatment options, and resources.
