Animal Advocate Temple Grandin to Speak at UM
Temple Grandin is an American doctor of animal science and professor at Colorado State University, a bestselling author, and a consultant to the livestock industry on animal behavior. As a person with high-functioning autism, she is also noted for her work in autism advocacy. In 2010 she was listed in Time magazine’s list of the 100 most influential people in the world. One of the Center for the Humanities’ Stanford Distinguished Professors for 2012-2013, she speaks on “Different Kinds of Minds” on Thursday, January 31 at BankUnited Center. | more |
