Cyclists 'Gear' Up to Fight Cancer
Each cyclist rode for a different reason—one to remember a brother who succumbed to prostate cancer, another for a spouse who’s been fighting breast cancer for years. But all of the 2,800-plus riders who participated in this year’s Dolphins Cycling Challenge (DCC), shared a common goal: raising funds for the lifesaving treatments and research programs at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Held November 2-3, the fourth DCC covered three counties and featured rides of different lengths. It concluded on Sunday, as hundreds of cyclists, cheered on by family members, friends, and spectators, rode jubilantly into Sun Life Stadium.
