Tip of the Week: Set Your Computer to Sleep Mode
Left on around the clock, a single desktop computer can emit more than 1,500 pounds of CO2 into the atmosphere, directly contributing to Florida’s vulnerability to rising sea levels. So be sure to permanently set your computer to sleep or energy-saving mode, and turn it off when you leave for the day. To help create a greener U, apply to the Office of Sustainability’s new Green Office Certification Program.
