Three Stand-Out Scholars Recognized for Their Achievements

A biochemist, Sylvia Daunert dispatches luminescent nano-particles to deliver targeted drugs. An expert in management incentives and capital markets, Andrew Leone is one of the world’s most widely read accountants. With his intensive research and eloquent voice, Michael Miller has won nearly every grant and award known to historians. They are as varied as their work, but all three professors are recipients of the Provost’s Award for Scholarly Activity. | more

Martin Grosell, a specialist in the environmental physiology and toxicology of marine fish and invertebrates who co-authored the first study of its kind showing heart abnormalities in fish embryos exposed to oil from the Deepwater Horizon spill, has been appointed Maytag chair and professor of ichthyology. | more
