Business Pitch Snags Gold at MIT's Entrepreneur Bootcamp

As Miami Law’s student development director, Sarah Klein encourages future lawyers to adopt an entrepreneurial approach to their work, and last month she showed them how, leading her team at MIT’s inaugural Global Entrepreneurship Bootcamp to the winner’s circle with her pitch for turning fashion blogs into retail outlets. Only 47 people from 22 countries made the camp cut. | more

Overuse of Cigarette Substitutes Could Pose Risk to Bones

A review by UM researchers of the recent literature on nicotine replacement therapies suggests that small dosages of nicotine found in cigarette substitutes could be harmful to the human musculoskeletal system, due to overuse. To foster collaboration across disciplines and find solutions to problems in a variety of arenas, the Dr. John T. After ending last year ranked ninth best moot court team in the country, Miami Law’s Charles C. Papy, Jr. Moot Court Board continued its winning ways, placing first in the 27th Annual Earle Zehmer Workers’ Compensation Moot Court Competition.
