UHealth Wellness Center Starts Cycling Program for Parkinson’s Patients

With a grant from the National Parkinson’s Foundation, the UHealth Fitness and Wellness Center is launching Cycle for Parkinson’s, a stationary cycling program aimed at helping people with the degenerative neurological disorder decrease their symptoms and improve their quality of life. Beginning Wednesday, July 29, the program will be offered free of charge. | more

Collins Selected for 2015 Home Run Derby
All-American slugger and star catcher Zack Collins, who belted 15 home runs this season to help the Hurricanes earn a College World Series berth, will compete in the sixth annual TD Ameritrade College Home Run Derby on Thursday, July 2. ESPN will broadcast the 8:30 p.m. event live. | more

Herbert Wellness Center Adjusts Schedule for Independence Day Holidays
The Patti and Allan Herbert Wellness Center will close on Saturday, July 4, but maintain its normal summer workout hours on Friday, July 3, when the sales and administrative offices will close for the University-recognized holiday. The gym will reopen on Sunday, July 5, and the administrative and sales offices on Monday, July 6.
