Adrienne Arsht, community leader, philanthropist, and chairman of the Board of Directors of TotalBank, made a $1 million gift to benefit the University of Miami’s Ethics Programs. The gift has launched a suite of University-wide, interdisciplinary initiatives: an ethics debate series, a research program, and the Adrienne Arsht Distinguished Speaker Series in Ethics.

Now in their 15th year, UM Ethics Programs foster and support a range of efforts dedicated to education, research, and community service in ethics and the professions. Through a variety of classes, conferences, research projects, seminars, and other activities, the programs emphasize work in bioethics, business and professional ethics, and scientific ethics. The Ethics Programs are directed by Professors Anita Cava and Kenneth Goodman.
