Dear Colleagues,

Achieving total wellness is a journey; it is dynamic and constant. Each dimension is critical and has an effect on the others. This month we turn our focus to interpersonal wellness, which involves our ability to establish and maintain satisfying relationships with our friends, family, and colleagues.

At UM we currently have four generations represented: Millenials, Gen X, Baby Boomers, and Traditionals. A generation is defined by age boundaries; members of a generation can share similar experiences growing up and often share similar values and attitudes. Each group is shaped by the specific political, economic, and cultural climate of their era. These are broad trends, however, and should not be used to stereotype people. Generational stereotypes can be just as disrespectful as cultural and ethnic ones.

Thank you, and have a healthy day.
