Vice president of the South Florida chapter
of the Society of Professional Journalists

Darcie Lunsford is the real estate editor at the South Florida Business Journal and Vice President of the South Florida chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. A veteran reporter, Darcie has spent the past seven years covering South Florida real estate for both the Business Journal and Daily Business Review.

These days, Darcie also tacks broadcast editor onto her Business Journal duties. She has reported general business stories for the paper on WPBF TV-25, the ABC station in West Palm Beach and WPTV TV-5, the NBC station. Prior to delving into the world of dirt, deals and dollars in South Florida, Darcie cut her reporting teeth in the early 1990s as a cop and government reporter for the Marietta Daily Journal near her hometown of Atlanta. She moved to Florida in 1993 and went to work for the Boca Raton News covering Palm Beach County government before joining the Business Journal in 1997.

Darcie also has penned freelance articles for national magazines such as the American Journalism Review and American Way, the flight magazine for American Airlines.
