New Deans Tour TO Visit Philadelphia and New York

The University of Miami Alumni Association is pleased to invite all alumni and friends to a series of New Deans Receptions, March 18, in Philadelphia, and March 19 & 20 in New York City.

The March 18 reception, will be at The Union League of Philadelphia, 140 South Broad Street, at 6:30 p.m. The evening will feature Shelton G. Berg, Dean of the Frost School of Music, and Barbara E. Kahn, Dean of the School of Business Administration.

On March 19, alumni and friends have the opportunity to meet and hear Dean Kahn at 6:30 p.m. at the Marriott Eastside in New York City, or on March 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Garden City Hotel in Garden City, Long Island, NY.

2008 ACC Men's Basketball Tournament Tickets Now on Sale!

Miami alumni, join the Hurricanes this year in Charlotte, NC as they participate in the annual ACC Men's Basketball Tournament.  The tournament will be held March 13th - 16th at Charlotte Bobcats Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina.  All University of Miami alumni are eligible to purchase up to two (2) tournament ticket books.  Each book is $405 and includes a ticket to each session of the tournament.  Tickets will be shipped out via Federal Express and will require a signature upon delivery. All orders will require the year of graduation and school of major at the time of order.

UM Wellness Center Specials

Many of us start the new year off with the promise to take better care of ourselves, exercising more, eating healthier or controlling stress. The Wellness Center, with locations on the Coral Gables and the Miller School of Medicine campuses makes it easy to keep those promises. In addition to the traditional recreation and fitness activities (cardio and weight machines; basketball, racquetball, and squash courts; indoor pool, etc.) the Wellness Center offers cooking classes; wellness seminars to include breathing workshops, weight management, and meditation; the highly successful smoking cessation program called BeSmokeFree; massage therapy, and much more. Many of the programs offered at the Wellness Center are free and open to everyone. However, membership to the Wellness Center is exclusive to UM affiliates—students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
