New Deans Tour TO Visit Philadelphia and New York

Learn Spanish for Spring Break

Take advantage of spring break to improve your Spanish in UM’s 7-day Intensive Spanish program. This immersion-style Spanish program is a full-time, week-long program for all levels of learners. Mini 'Canes Recreational Sports Camp

Beginning June 9

Coral Gables Campus

Registration for the popular Mini 'Canes Recreational Sports Camp at the Coral Gables Wellness Center is open now!. The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6 through 12. Daily activities vary from swimming lessons to arts and crafts. All activities take place inside the Wellness Center and on the Yaron intramural field located directly behind the Wellness Center. The camp offers four, two-week sessions with the first session starting Monday, June 9. Before-care and after-care are also available. Many of us start the new year off with the promise to take better care of ourselves, exercising more, eating healthier or controlling stress. The Wellness Center, with locations on the Coral Gables and the Miller School of Medicine campuses makes it easy to keep those promises. In addition to the traditional recreation and fitness activities (cardio and weight machines; basketball, racquetball, and squash courts; indoor pool, etc.) the Wellness Center offers cooking classes; wellness seminars to include breathing workshops, weight management, and meditation; the highly successful smoking cessation program called BeSmokeFree; massage therapy, and much more. Many of the programs offered at the Wellness Center are free and open to everyone. However, membership to the Wellness Center is exclusive to UM affiliates —students, faculty, staff, and alumni.
