The Arsht Distinguished Speaker Series in Ethics began March 26, 2007, with a presentation to a standing-room-only audience in UM's Storer Auditorium by Dr. Arthur Caplan of the University of Pennsylvania, one of the world's leading ethicists. Prof. Caplan's topic, "Good, Better, Best: Should We Improve Ourselves Through Biological Engineering?" drew more than 300 attendees from the community and across the university.
