---Students
can research information about a local environmental issue, and
present findings to the class.
---Since “Economy” also deals with simplifying life,
student can be given the project of simplifying their life for
a week. A “pledge” and journal can be kept, a week
without fast food, or candy, or video games etc. Journal can record
what was done with that time./mondy/slice of life instead.
---Nature Journal. Walden is often mentioned as a great
example of nature writing. Students can be assigned a local nature
spot, and asked to write a shirt journal entry describing it for
the rest of the class.
