Description of Classroom Activities

The way in which Things Fall Apart portrays real human events allows the student of the text to identify with people who are often considered to be “different” and “other.”

By completing the activities that follow, students will have the opportunity to think about these ethical issues and consider them in light of contemporary and recent historical situations. These questions should be taken as points of departure for further consideration of the issues they raise.
