Environmental Ethics Conference
As part of the Environmental Ethics Project, we are a key sponsor of the annual South Florida Environmental Ethics Conference. The daylong conference is also sponsored by Florida Atlantic University, the Miami-Dade Commission on Ethics and Public Trust, and the Florida Bioethics Network.
The 5th session is set for Friday 17 February 2006, at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This year's program addresses ethical considerations in ocean conservation, Everglades restoration, gentrification, hurricanes and solar energy. The theme - "Living on the Edge" - invites discussion of the ethical and social challenges of maintaining a balance between South Florida’s built and natural environments.
Program and other conference information is available here.
