Kenneth W. Goodman, Ph.D., is founder and director of the University of Miami's Bioethics Program and co-director of the university's Program in Business, Governmental and Professional Ethics. He has co-authored books on ethics in public health and on artificial intelligence; edited a book on ethics and medical computing; co-edited a volume on artificial intelligence; and published and presented numerous articles in bioethics, the philosophy of science, and computing. His articles have also appeared in the Chicago Tribune, Miami Herald, New York Times and South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Dr. Goodman is currently writing a book about ethics and evidence-based medicine for Cambridge University Press and, with a colleague, has prepared a forthcoming volume of case studies in health informatics for Springer-Verlag.
