Cynthia L. Augustyn, Esq.
Assistant Vice President and Deputy General Counsel

Since 1982, Cynthia L. Augustyn, Esq., assistant vice president and deputy general counsel, has served as one of the University’s leading in-house attorneys. Prior to joining the University, Ms. Augustyn was an associate in the litigation department of the Miami law firm of Mershon, Sawyer, Johnston, Dunwody and Cole. She is a member of the Florida Bar, the Florida Bar Association, the National Association of College and University Attorneys, and the American Health Lawyers Association.

Ms. Augustyn received a Bachelor of Arts (magna cum laude) from Allegheny College, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and earned a J.D. (cum laude) from Cornell Law School, where she was a member of the International Law Journal. Ms. Augustyn later received an LLM in Taxation from the University Of Miami School Of Law.
