Graduate Student Association
The Graduate Student Association (GSA) represents graduate students of the University of Miami, in order to provide a means for responsible and effective graduate student participation in the planning and conduct of University affairs. The GSA acknowledges the diversity of human experience and we seek to further knowledge within our disciplines by eliminating biases and prejudices. The Graduate Student Association adopts as continuing policy that no individual shall be discriminated against on the basis of race, religion, age, disability, national and/or ethnic origin, marital status, gender, or sexual orientation.

Established in 1969, the primary function of the GSA is to promote effective graduate student participation in University affairs. The GSA serves as a liaison between graduate students, faculty, and the administration. In addition, the GSA exists as a social and intellectual forum to support and improve the quality of the graduate student environment at the University of Miami. The University of Miami Graduate Student Association is an active member of the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students.
