11.26.2007 - Parent ads deadline extended

11.16.2007 - Portrait dates extended
Portrait Dates - Feb 4-15, 2008. These are the FINAL DATES. Seniors can visit www.ibisyearbook.com to make an appointment. Underclassmen do not need to set up appointments at this time.11.8.2007 - Ibis Yearbook wins Pacemaker Award
Coral Gables, FL (November 8, 2007) – The University of Miami’s Ibis Yearbook was awarded the Associate Collegiate Press (ACP) Pacemaker. The announcement was made at the Associated Collegiate Press/College Media Advisors National College Media Convention in Washington, D.C. held last month.Sarah Baird, current editor-in-chief for the 2008 Ibis Yearbook, accepted the award on behalf of Lori Todd, editor-in-chief, for the winning 2006 publication.
The national award judged college yearbooks for the 2005-2006 school year and was awarded to only five publications from a pool of 13 finalists from around the country. The 2006 Ibis Yearbook was recognized for its “general excellence and outstanding achievement”. This edition of the Ibis included coverage of Hurricane Katrina.
Last year, the student-run yearbook won a Gold Crown, the top award. The Ibis won a Pacemaker in 1993 for its coverage of Hurricane Andrew and was a finalist in 2003 and 2004.

Applications for Senior Spotlight are now availble. Download a copy of the application here or visit our office, UC229, to pick up a copy of the application. Applications are due on November 1st, 2007. Drop off completed applications in our office, UC229.9.23.2007 - We want your photos!

We are currently looking for photos from: Tailgating, Move In, Fraternity and Sorority Rush, and Summer Internships and Travel. E-mail them to us or drop off a CD at UC 229.
Have Photos not on the list? Still submit them! We will try our hardest to work them into the book!
