11.20.2008 - Ibis Yearbook wins another ACP Pacemaker!

Pacemaker

The Ibis staff did not return from Kansas City, the location of this year's National College Media Convention, empty-handed. The 2007 Ibis, under Editor-in-Chief Joanna Davila, won a Pacemaker, the highest honor awarded to college publications by the Associated Collegiate Press (ACP) for excellence in journalism. The Ibis was one of 15 finalists, and the first of seven winners that were called.

The 2007 Ibis also won 1st place and received a Pacemaker for Design of the Year for Yearbook - an extremely competitive category that honors only the best in the cutting edge of design for collegiate yearbooks. Ashley Norton, Design Director for the 2007 Ibis, was named on the award for her remarkable creativity in design and layout.

The ACP Pacemaker award for yearbooks falls one year behind because of different distribution dates for yearbooks around the nation.

We are proud of these amazing accomplishments and recognize the success of the Ibis. We hope that the 2008 Ibis will be just as successful!
