OUR LOCATION
If historic Little Havana is the heart of Miami,
then famed Calle Ocho (Eighth street) just south of
our property is where you take its pulse.
These 10 square blocks are marked by the signature
aroma of café cubano, the vibrant colors in the
stores along Calle Ocho, locals playing dominos
against a backdrop of murals at Maximo Gomez Park.
The area is renown for its authentic cuisine from
not just Cuba but all of Latin America. Get a plate
of lechon asado con platanitos maduros y congris
(roast pork with fried plantains and rice and
beans). Visit one of the many open-air lunch
counters serving medianoche, sandwich cubano and
empanadas. Cuban cafeterias share the street with
Nicaraguan bakeries and Central American taquerías.
Restaurants host traditional flamenco performances.
The area’s montage of cultures is representative of
the entire Western Hemisphere. Throughout the year a
variety of festivals commemorate Miami's Hispanic
heritage.
Little Havana abuts the Miami River and downtown
Miami to the east (and Northwest 7th Street and
Coral Way, to the north and south, respectively).
