Tour Information

About LAM Tours
The Education Department creates tours to help visitors of all ages discover
and explore the visual arts.  All educational opportunities strive to challenge
the visitor to engage in a learning experience, utilizing critical thinking and
object-based education. Our goal is to provide a positive museum visit for everyone.
Our tour method uses questions to engage students. Information and vocabulary are
linked to the  students’ observations. Trained volunteer guides (Docents) facilitate
guided group tours for all ages.

Adult Groups
One-hour tours are designed to engage visitors through conversation and close looking.

K-12 School Groups :  School Tours last 1 and ½ hours and are scheduled Tuesday-
Friday from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m.-1:30 pm.  Large groups are split into

the museum.
