In
partnership with Miami-Dade County Public Schools, regional and
national scholars and artists, the Lowe Art Museum presents Teacher
Workshops to further the training of elementary, middle and high
school educators in our community. Guest scholars and artists are
invited to share their historical, cultural, and artistic knowledge,
expertise and techniques. In addition, a hands-on component is included
to provide teachers with the opportunity to participate in a studio
art process. The Teacher Education Center of Dade County provides
teachers with ten Masterplan points, and the Lowe Art Museum provides
complimentary museum admission for a field trip.*
*Note:
Due to
budget cuts this year, free buses will no longer be provided as
part of the workshop, but free field trip visits will still be available
to all participating teachers.
