The following steps will be completed at the Office of Student Employment at the University of Miami.
- W-4 Form must be completed, signed and dated if it is the student's first time working at the University of Miami.
- Electronic Form I-9 (Employment Eligibility Verification form) must be completed using the HireRight system. Student will first be invited via e-mail to complete Section 1 of the form. He/she must then set up an appointment to come to the Office of Student Employment to complete Section 2. He/she must show two forms of identification such as Driver's License and US Social Security card. This is only applicable to students who have not completed an electronic I-9 before.
Afterwards, you (the employer) will complete a Student Employee Assignment Form (SEAF) that is specifically for off-campus student employees.
The student must also sign the University of Miami Off-Campus Student Employee Agreement and is then responsible for submitting both this form and the Student Employment Assignment form to the Office of Student Employment.
