A Groundbreaking Year at the U

Sergio M. GonzalezThe University of Miami’s $1.6 billion Momentum2 campaign—our most ambitious campaign to date—is on track with $1.17 billion raised so far thanks to the generous support of more than 100,000 of our donors. When combined with the $1.4 billion raised in our first Momentum campaign, our efforts will represent an extraordinary
$3 billion investment in educational, research, and health care breakthroughs in a little over a decade.

Some of the campaign’s most recent and visible achievements include new state-of-the-art student facilities, including the Schwartz Center for Athletic Excellence, the Toppel Career Center, and the Student Center Complex, which features the spectacular Student Activities Center (SAC). Students are at the heart of everything that we do and the SAC is no exception. As President Shalala notes, the Center “sets the pulse for an exciting and rewarding college experience.” I invite you to visit our Coral Gables campus and see for yourself how our students and university community are benefiting from these magnificent buildings.

Thanks to the generosity of our students, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends, the bar has been set for yet another groundbreaking year at the U.
