At Lab Since: January, 2012
From: Godalming, England
Educational Background:
  • PhD Student, University of Hull, England
  • B.Sc., Marine and Freshwater Biology, University of Hull, England
  • At The Lab:
  • 2010:First came to the lab in June to volunteer for 6 months
  • 2010: Marquesas survey
  • 2012: Principal Investigator at the Lab: measuring the metabolic rate of free-ranging marine predators. This goal is crucial to quantifying a species’ impact on the ecosystem and estimating the effect of their removal on lower trophic levels. Field metabolic rate values will be attained using recently developed accelerometer technology for the model species Negaprion brevirostris and Ginglymostoma cirratum.
