Name:Link
Link and his sister Kaya were island potcakes that kept finding themselves at the lab. After speaking with their original owner in May 2012 we were able to adopt them!
Name:Rat dog
Rat Dog used to be named Sheeba, but was renamed after she was taken in by the Sharklab. We were recently informed that Rat Dog and Indy actually are brother and sister, the offspring of one of the Sharklab's past dogs, Mama.
Name: Kaya
Kaya along with her brother Link are the newest members to the Sharklab pet family. Following her brother around they always seemed to end up at the Sharklab where there were many people to pet and love on them!
Name:Shadow
Shadow was our neighbor's Pit Bull. Despite their reputation, Shadow is one of the nicest dogs around. It was a usual pattern for Shadow to break off his lead and pay us a visit, only to be taken back and tied up again. After a continual pattern of this we suddenly stopped taking him back. Shadow lived under our house for over a month until we officially decided to claim him for our own. Shadow now enjoys the life of luxury going from an outside dog to the newest member of our family. He gets plenty of attention from our staff and volunteers and he loves every minute of it!
Name:Bimini Boa
The SharkLab has been keeping Bimini Boas on-site for over two years in an attempt to educate people about this beautiful endemic snake. The boas are kept for a short period then swapped when a new snake is captured. All snakes are tagged then released where they were originally found.
Name: Duckie
Assumed to have lost its way, Duckie is a Mallard duck that first appeared at the lab in 2009. While mallard ducks are not native to Bimini, Duckie has become a Sharklab regular, making daily visits to chow down on some duck food or take a dip in our freshwater footbath.
