A full-time staff CRNA at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Jesus Del Risco is Co-Coordinator of Simulated and Clinical Learning for the University of Miami's Nurse Anesthesia Program. His expertise in the areas of simulation and patient safety have been instrumental in the development of clinical-based scenarios that enable healthcare professionals and students to develop the necessary skills to provide safe, collaborative, effective anesthesia care.
Del Risco holds an MS in Anesthesiology from Baylor College of Medicine and an MBA with a specialization in healthcare service administration from Nova Southeastern University. He earned a BSN from Florida International University and an ASN from the Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. His expertise encompasses comprehensive anesthesia for all types of surgical procedures including Cardiovascular, General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Transplantation, and Trauma.
