John A. Rivas CRNA, MS, ARNP

Chief CRNA and Clinical Coordinator of the Nurse Anesthesia program at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Miami, John Rivas also serves as Co-Coordinator of Simulated and Clinical Learning for the University of Miami's Nurse Anesthesia Program. He is a recognized educator in the field of airway management and a member of the faculty for The Difficult Airway Course. His interests include airway management for the difficult and failed airway and alternate site anesthesia, including Cath Lab, special procedures, CT scanner, and MRI. Dr. Rivas is currently clinical lead faculty at the VA.
