University of Miami ARMY ROTC
General
- Students can give Army ROTC a "shot" for up to two years with absolutely NO MILITARY OBLIGATION (as freshmen and sophomore)
- We will help you develop leadership skills applicable to a civilian or military lifestyle
- Several exclusive military clubs, service organizations, and honor societies exist within Army ROTC
- Frequent activities such as: Physical Training, Paintball, Confidence Course, Rappelling, Leadership Training and occasional base visits and much more
Training
- Allows students to become Army Officers while completing a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Receive uniforms, books, and equipment for Army ROTC classes at no cost
- Prepares cadets to assume positions of increasing responsibility and importance in the Army and beyond in their civilian careers
- Many opportunities for hands on experiences
Scholarships
- Full tuition is paid if student qualifies
- All UM cadets are assured a grant amounting up to 25% of UM tuition
- Available for one, two, three, and four year terms for all academic majors
- $1200 annual textbook allowance and monthly non-taxable $300-$500 stipend depending on year in program

- Junior sign up for Fall class MSL 301 or Spring Class MSL 302
- Senior sign up for Fall class MSL 401 or Spring Class MSL 402
