Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate Program
The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Certificate Program is a post-master’s certificate program that is designed to prepare Nurse Practitioners certified in other areas to become eligible to apply for the Family Nurse Practitioner certification exam. Individuals applying to this program need to submit an application, an original transcript showing a master’s degree in nursing, advanced practice nursing certification in another area, a statement of goals. Three letters of recommendation are preferred since the individual will be taking graduate classes.
Students take classes with other FNP graduate students as they are normally offered. Each student’s academic background is reviewed so that a plan of study may be created for the certificate student that will meet certification requirements.
