University of Miami Continues to Rise in U.S. News & World Report Rankings
CORAL GABLES, FL (August 22, 2008) -- The University of Miami continues to rise in the nation’s most prestigious college rankings.
UM is now up to No. 51 in U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” rankings. The University, which is in the National Universities category, rose from No. 52 last year—and has moved up 15 spots in just the past six years. The University improved from last year in four of the seven categories that determine overall rank: alumni giving, graduation and retention, peer assessment, and financial resources.
UM is also ranked (46th out of 50) on the Great Schools, Great Prices (National Universities) list. No other Florida institutions are ranked on this list.
The U.S. News “America’s Best Colleges” issue hits newsstands Monday.
