The South Florida Nursing Research Consortium invites nurses and students from clinical, educational and research setting to submit abstracts for papers posters and symposiums for our 2008 conference, “Connecting the Dots: Linking Research and Practice.” Join us in this opportunity to share and present completed research, research in progress and evidence based nursing projects with the South Florida nursing community. Presentations will be selected on the basis of scientific merit by means of blind review. Topics of interest include nursing research focused on:
- Best approaches for linking research and practice
- Practice-based evidence
- Theory-guided practice research

Abstract Submission: Authors are requested to submit two copies of the abstract: one with all authors names listed, the second without author’s names for blind review. The abstract should be no longer than 300 words (12 pt font).

Purpose
Significance
Methods
Findings
Discussion
Abstract should be submitted in PDF or Word format via email to: abstracts@nursingconsortium.us
Presentation Formats
Papers: Authors of selected abstracts will have 20 minutes to orally present their paper.
Posters: A visual presentation for display during conference hours.
Symposiums: A collection of two to three papers focusing on a clinical issue.
Each session will be one hour in length.
Submit abstracts no later than July 7, 2008.

Review Process
Abstracts will be reviewed by a subcommittee representing member organizations. Letters of acceptance/non-acceptance will be mailed to the primary author no later than August 1, 2008.
