Application Deadlines

Freshmen:  January 15
Transfer Students:  March 1

Admission Requirements

  • High School GPA – Incoming Freshman have an average GPA of 3.7.
  • Transfer GPA – Transfer students have an average GPA of 3.4.

Requirements for Enrollment in Clinical Courses

  • To be eligible to enroll in clinical coursework a UM student must have achieved junior standing with an overall grade point average of no less than 3.0 and a prerequisite GPA of 2.7
  • Transfer students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 and a prerequisite GPA of 3.00.
  • To be considered for admission and/or progression for clinical course work, students are allowed to repeat only 1 prerequisite course. Prerequisites must be completed with a grade of C or better.

Final Deadline:  March 1

Admission Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a field other than nursing
  • Accelerated Option and Traditional Second Degree students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 with a 3.00 for prerequisite courses
  • All pre-requisite courses must be completed prior to admission with a grade of C or better

  • SAT Score – minimum of 1100
  • ACT Score – minimum of 24

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 in the B.S.N. program
  • Current Florida RN licensure
