Prescription prices are often lower than at local drug stores, and most insurance plans are accepted. For students with the Student Health Service sponsored United Healthcare insurance plan, low cost generic medications are available at the Student Health Pharmacy, $4.00 co-payment for a 30 day supply, $12.00 co-payment for a 90 day supply. Hormonal Contraception is covered if dispensed at the Student Health Pharmacy. Non-prescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, personal care products and condoms are also available. New prescriptions can be dropped off or called or faxed by the ordering provider. Refill requests will be handled most promptly by having your prescription number available and calling our automated refill line at (305) 284-5922. Refills can also be requested via MyUM under the "Life at UM" tab. The pharmacy is located on the second floor of the Student Health Center, and can fill prescriptions from most local and out of town medical providers. |
