About Chi Epsilon Pi

The University of Miami chapter of Chi Epsilon Pi Meteorological Honor Society is dedicated to recognizing both graduate and undergraduate students with exemplary scholastic ability in the field of Meteorology both at University of Miami and in the wider community. Chi Epsilon Pi strives to foster leadership while creating a social, service, and academically oriented network at the University of Miami for high-achieving students with a Meteorology Major or Minor.

The first official meteorological honor society was founded in 1951 at UCLA, and University of Miami’s chapter began in December of 2006.

Chi Epsilon Pi supplements classroom academics with real-life experience throughout atmospheric science and other related sciences and serves as a source for information for career options and internship opportunities. Activities include conferences, presentations, workshops, and organized field trips related to meteorology. Through such events, we also promote service to the community, as well as academic and professional networking.
